Attendance Allowance

Many older people don’t realise that they entitled to non-means tested benefit called Attendance Allowance. This is a government benefit for people of state pension age who have health issues which affect their daily lives. We help to complete the 50-question application form and collate the necessary supplementary information.

Council Tax Revision

A successful Attendance Allowance application will help when applying for a reduction in Council Tax. We assist with the application process.

If you need support with your property search, we can do online research and pre-screen against your requirements. Once the sale has gone through, we can help you work out which furniture will fit, get quotes for removal companies and arrange utilities. On moving day we’ll be on hand to support you every step of the way, from making up beds to making cups of tea! We’ll help you with the packing and settling in. We aim to make the process go as smoothly as possible, so that once you’re are in your new home you wished you’d done it years ago!

Bereavement Administration

When someone dies it can be devastating for those left behind. The paperwork can seem overwhelming if you’ve never done it before. We start by notifying organisations about the bereavement, assisting with cancelling subscriptions and direct debits. We can arrange for valuations of antiques, paintings, jewellery, collections etc. for probate purposes. If the house needs to be sold, we can declutter it and arrange house clearance. If necessary, we can facilitate trades people for repairs and liaise with estate agents. Our aim is to make a difficult situation less stressful.

As we get older we need to consider the best solutions for our care, when we find things more difficult. We can help you with recruiting different support, from cleaners and gardeners, to domiciliary carers or live in carers. We can also help you find alternative accommodation, from retirement living, supported living or a care home.
